Each player has 5 rings. White player goes first.
White player places a white ring anywhere on the board, then black places a black ring and it alternates till all ten rings are on the board.
White moves first by putting a white piece into the ring he wishes to move.
White moves his ring down next to the black ring. Rings can NEVER jump over other rings. Thus the black ring can't move to his down - left direction. This is a blocking strategy.
Black moves next to the white piece. Black could jump the white piece and flip it over if he wished to.
Instead black moves his ring just one space next to the white piece.
White moves his ring to jump over the three black pieces.
White flips over the three black pieces to white.
White jumps over four black pieces with his ring.
White gets five white pieces in a row and captures a white ring of his choice. White decides to remove any one of his rings on the board. Needs to capture two more rings to win. Once one gets five pieces in a row he removes those five pieces from the board.
Black jumps over the white and black piece flipping each one over.
So the white piece jumped over becomes black and the black piece jumped over becomes white.
Black gets five in a row thus capturing his 2nd ring. The less rings you have on the board makes it just a tad more difficult for that player.
Ignore the stupidity of this play (as black will win next move) but just to show white jumps the black and MUST stop after the first empty space.
So white stops after jumping over the one black piece which he flips to white.
Black jumps over white piece.
Black wins as he captures his 3rd ring with five black pieces in a row.
