For Sale

For Sale is a quick 15 min auction game for 3-6 players.

Players are bidding on real estate from 1 to 30.
3 player game $18,000 randomly remove 6 real estate cards and 6 check cards
4 player game $18,000 randomly remove 2 real estate cards and 2 check cards
5 player game $14,000 each player receives
6 player game $14,000 each
player receives

After the bidding phase and all the real estate is auctioned off then players sell their real estate for checks ranging from void, $2,000 to $15,000 (two of each). Player with most money at end of game wins.

Auction off the number of real estate cards as many players. This example is a 4 player game so 4 real estate cards are turned up from the pile. Bidding begins with the player who bought the largest house last turn.

On your turn you must either BID or PASS. You must raise the bid by at least $1,000. If you PASS you get for free the lowest valued house. If you bid but don't win the auction you must pay half of your bid to the bank rounded up. Example, if you bid $3,000 you must pay $2,000 to the bank.
- Starting with top left player who bids $1,000
- Top right player bids $3,000
- Bottom right player bids $4,000
- Bottom left player passes
- Top left player passes
- Top right player passes
- Bottom right players wins the auction with a bid of $4,000

As a result of the auction
- Bottom left player passes so he gets the 5 house for free
- Top left player passes so he get's next lowest house (13 house) and must pay half so pays $1,000 to bank ($2,000 bid)
- Top right player passes so he get's next lowest house (15 house) and pays $2,000 to bank ($3,000 bid)
- Bottom right players wins the auction with a bid of $4,000 and pays $4,000 to the bank.

Once all the houses are auctioned off you turn over number of checks based on number of players. So 4 checks are turned over and each player places a house face down in front. When everyone has done so they are revealed. The highest valued house played gets the highest valued check, 2nd highest valued house played get the 2nd higest valued check, 3rd, 4th, etc.
Example the player on the left plays his 30 he is guaranteed the $15,000 check on top since 30 is the highest possible house. All your houses once puchased are kept hidden face down. Turned over just for illustrative purposes.
Once all the houses are sold and all checks are collected you add up your check amount and any left over from the bidding phase and the player with the most money is the winner.
