Liars Dice (Call My Bluff, Perudo)3 to 6 players about 20 min game There are many variations to this game so I'll cover how I play it then near bottom discuss the "official rules". Each player has a cup with five dice which they roll and keep hidden and only they can look. Showing dice in plain view to explain the game that's all.
Everyone rolls and red starts the bid. He has a 3, 4 and 1, 6, 6. 1's are wild and can represent any number. So red has three 6's. In a six player games (6p x 5die = 30 die total). So based on that red bids nine 6's not knowing what others have rolled but guessing based on probability statistics (hehe). The number on board is quantity of the bid. White die shows which number is bid. (Neither the board nor white die are necessary to play just helps beginners). The next player to the left must either call 'bull' or up the bid by at least one.
Blue has one 1 and decides to bid five 1's (5 wilds).
Re-roll rule - Blue decides to increase his chances of not getting called and to prove he's not bluffing so he reveals his one 1 and re-rolls the remaining die. One must put at least one die out or as many as he wishes if he wishes to re-roll. Doesn't even have to match his bid.
Black looks at his five die and has 6,6,4,4,5. Black decides to up the bid to ten 4's.
Yellow ups the bid by bidding ten 6's. Now since the previous bid was ten 4's he could not bid ten 2's or ten 3's. He could, however, bid ten 5's for instance or bid eleven 2's, eleven 3's, etc.
Orange has only one 6 and decides to call 'bull' on yellow.
When 'bull' is called everyone lifts up their cups simutenously (I hate those who wait to reveal their cups thinking it'll somehow change things..don't do it). Everyone pushes their 1's (wilds) and 6's in front of them so the total can be computed. There are thirteen 6's so Orange loses one die and places in the middle of the board because yellows bid of saying there were at least ten 6's was correct. Yellow gets to start the next bid since he won that round.
As the game progresses and people lose there die bids naturally will be lower as the total number of die rolled decreases. Eleven die are in the middle of the board so (30 - 11 = 19 die total left). Yellow bids nine 2's (since he has four 2's). Orange calls 'bull' and since there was only eight 2's yellow loses and places one die in the middle of the board.
Last player to have one die wins.
