TeaTimer I suggest only using for the advanced user as it monitors installation routines and scripts and one needs to approve or disapprove by having a semi clue of what has transpired. So for newbies I suggest not installing it..only a suggestion.

After searching for updates (just like virus definitions) then Check for problems and it'll scan your system and alert you to any spyware you may have on your computer. Usually once you rid yourself of spyware you sluggish computer should be noticeably faster.

Currently scanning system at 1,751 out of 13,749 possible spywares and malwares.

If your lucky and browse with Mozilla rather than IE then perhaps you have no infections.

This paticular system was running slow as molasses. Also they were behind on security updates for Internet Explorer and spyware was everywhere to be found. Some spyware can't be removed since it's still in memory which spybot will prompt you to allow it to run at boot up. Once it does be sure to click Search and Destroy and then click Fix Selected Problems.

Be sure to immunize your system as updates come out additional protections may be available.

Spybot can't always get rid of everything nor ad-aware. This is where CWShredder comes in handy for those extreme infections. Pretty self-explanatory freeware trojan removal tool.

It shows which ones it had to remove. Hopefully all will say not present.
