Genealogy on the web
Phpgedview
allows one to share their genealogy on the web for family, relatives and
the world to view. It's GPL (free) and very powerful way to edit and collaborate.
This is a quick and dirty install guide. The official install guide is
here.
Sites running phpgedview here.
If you have PAF then it's easy to convert your .paf file
to .ged (gedcom)
Select File | Export
Choose Other GEDCOM 5.5
Choose any name you like

Use any ftp client you wish to upload PhpGedview
after unzipping it.
File permissions need to be adjusted for config.php file.
Change permissions to 777.
Go ahead and set your configuration settings to your liking.
Create an administrative user.
Choose Upload Gedcom

Browse to your gedcom file you have on your hard disk.
Each configuration has built-in help so I'm not going to explain it here
but say that the Enable Privacy and Enable Online
Editing are extremely important options. Privacy
protects the living from revealing personal data and makes it viewable
only to family, relatives who you give an account to. Online editing
is something you can enable for others to do to collaborate your work.
These are the options I choose.
It'll take a bit to import the update the family names.
Choose Manage Gedcoms and Edit Privacy

Screenshots are from Apr 2004 so yea it may be a tad different now but
you get the gist of it.
I really like this Elaine's website
elaine-reschke.com as it's informative and has helpful links, etc.
and she is a teacher at a Family History Center.
